Project Details
Our partner, Monster Media, required additional displays so their client EPCOR could create a big "splash" at the 2010 Grey Cup pregame show. Monster Media contacted APG Displays team, and we supplied a 3x3 seamless LCD video wall that was a replica to their client's existing display wall.
The effect-to create a larger-than-life virtual aquarium, complete with rippling water and aquatic life was a hit and exceeded both EPCOR and Monster Medias' expectations.
In addition to providing the video wall solution, APG Displays also set up a comprehensive sound system on-site, provided technical support, setup, and teardown in Calgary.
The APG Solution
The goal was to lure pregame show attendees to the EPCOR interactive aquarium. The virtual display featured digital fish tanks on two 3x3 video walls and body-responsive lily pads projected onto the floor. Once a guest stepped on to a lily pad, they were prompted to call a promotional number via their mobile device and using the phones keypad, could create their very own fish. Guests could then control their fish to catch prizes that appeared on the screens or save their fish and share with friends and family.
The hook worked and the aquarium was a virtual success at the event! We are proud to have helped create this incredibly dynamic display.
If you're looking to enhance your existing tradeshow or event display or need a backup video solution - give APG Displays a call and we can work with you to find the right solution for your display needs.
